About Skagit Valley College
Founded 1926
Skagit Valley College is located in an agricultural valley between the Cascade Mountains and the Puget Sound waterway. The area is ideal for outdoor sports and recreation, and close to many ski resorts. Classes at Skagit Valley are small, with high quality teachers and individual help. On-campus housing is available. Although Skagit Valley is in a semi-rural area known for its beautiful environment and peaceful way of life, it is not far from the glamour of big city living. The college is 60 miles north of Seattle, which offers museums, art shows, ballet, the symphony, excellent restaurants, and professional sports teams. Vancouver, British Columbia, 90 miles north, is a bustling metropolitan community that is rich with culture and ethnic diversity.
